A Shopify store built for enquiries, not a basket.
Attacus Custom makes custom cycling kit, and an order starts with an enquiry. Which is not the shape a Shopify store comes in. It had to show a range priced at up to three tiers, and get an enquiry to the inbox already knowing which kit it is about.

Custom Shopify build · enquiry, not checkout
Where it hurt
What we saw
An enquiry-led store fails in the gap between the product page and the inbox: the visitor reads about one piece of kit, then fills in a form that arrives saying nothing about which one. So the store is built around the enquiry. Every product carries a four-image gallery, a features list and up to three pricing tiers, and an empty pricing table hides itself, so a product with one tier looks as finished as one with three. Every product has its own link, so an email or an ad can land on one piece of kit rather than the top of a long page. And the enquiry form arrives already holding whatever the visitor was reading.

What we did, and why
Decide. The enquiry is the conversion.
A custom order is quoted rather than bought, so the store is built to produce an enquiry: prices shown as tiers on the page, and every product page pointing at a form rather than a checkout.
Build. A custom theme, a section per category.
A Shopify theme written to the brand, with each category (jerseys, jackets, shorts, suits, accessories) built as its own section, so editing one never disturbs another. Every product gets its own link, its own gallery and its own tier pricing, and an empty tier table hides itself.
Hand over. Editable in Shopify's own editor.
Every section is editable in Shopify's theme editor, on a design system applied across the store, so the Attacus team change copy, images and layout themselves and it stays on brand while they do.
The site we built.
For brands like yours
When an order starts with a conversation, the store's job is to make that conversation cheaper to have. Prices on the page answer the first question before anyone asks it. A form that knows which product it came from answers the second. And because there is now a page worth sending traffic to, paid search can point straight at custom kit: the campaign runs against the store's enquiry form as its conversion, so the enquiries it brings in are counted.
